I have been at home on my own since last week. I think I have done pretty well, but am definitely glad when Tim comes home! Our day consists of eating, playing, sleeping and then repeat 5-7 times (but this has been made easier thanks to a book recommended by Beth). I've been overwhelmed at times, but overall we've done ok and are both surviving! We believe Nicolas is gaining weight and getting longer (all of his newborn clothes are being stretched when he straightens his legs). We tried weighing him on our scale but we think it may be off because it says he is 8 lbs and that's not right (at least we don't think so...). Our next doctor's appointment is next Tuesday, so we'll see what the pediatrician says then. We had a first time visitor this weekend, Cousin Avery. Jaden, Beth, and Avery (Tim's sister and family) came on Thursday night and stayed until Saturday afternoon. It was a nice visit. Avery did awesome with Nicolas, even when Beth was holding him. She gave him kisses and held him, precious! We even went to a restaurant for the first time, Nicolas slept the entire dinner! Avery seemed bored at times and will definitely have a better time when Nicolas can play with her:)
Sunday we went on another new outing, to my parents house for lunch. Again, Nicolas did very well. Outings definitely ware me out, I do enjoy the comfort of home, but they are getting easier. We've run occasional errands and taken a couple of walks (although that may be done because of the colder weather). Hopefully everything will get a little easier as Nicolas gets older...

Hang in there! It was great to see your parents today, and your mom says that everything is going well. It WILL get easier as you get more comfortable and he gets bigger and older and more established in this world! Try to rest as much as you can, and know that you're doing just great--give yourself a lot of slack on everything as you get used to being a mommy! PS. I prefer to never leave the house with all 3 kids, so don't feel guilty--and Sam almost always wants to stay home, so it's not like Nic is missing anything super valuable by hanging around the house!
