It's been a LONG, LONG while...

Here's what has been happening since the last post (sorry it's been so long)...

*Nicolas is growing like a weed! He was 13lb 1.5 oz and 25.5 inches at his 4 month check-up on Friday! That puts him at about 15% for weight and 50% for length:) He had to get 4 more shots and he did very well (me too, I didn't cry:) He did run a fever all day Saturday, but is doing well now!

*Nicolas has pretty much grown out of all the sleepers he has, he is on to 6 month sleepers and some 6 month outfits. You can wrap them around him twice, but the length is right:)

*Nicolas is rolling over from front to back and back to front. He will sometimes get his legs under him and scoot a little, it won't be long and he'll be crawling!!!

*Nicolas is sleeping through the night!!! He has been pretty much since I went back to work over a month ago. We have dropped his late night (10:00 pm) feeding so he is eating 5 times a day (every 3.5-4 hours) with his last feeding at 7:30, bed by 8:30 and up at 6:00 am every morning (except weekends, closer to 7:00 or 7:30). He eats 7-8 oz each feeding from the sitter every day. He is a great napper and takes 2-3 naps a day lasting up to 2.5 hours (on the shorter end only being 1/2 an hour long)!

*Nicolas started eating rice cereal this weekend and seems to really like it. Mommy and Daddy do not like the explosion diapers, WOW!!! We'll keep doing cereal for the next 3-4 weeks and then introduce baby food!!!

*Nicolas loves his blankies!!! He likes to bring them to his face and put them in his mouth. He also loves his stuffed monkey and bird! We just got out some blocks this weekend and he seems to really like them too! He's so much fun!!!


*Nicolas loves to watch Packer and Jake roam around the living room, wherever they go, he follows them. Watch out Packer and Jake, Nicolas will be coming for you soon...

*Nicolas has had quite a cold for the last couple of weeks, runny nose and cough! He of course has no idea that he doesn't feel good. He screams when you suck his boogers out and sometimes gets mad when he coughs, but then looks at you and laughs and smiles:)


*You'd think our lives revolve around Nicolas...well they do, but Tim and I have things going on, too. We have been throwing around the idea of buying a new house...we have been approved for a loan and have talked to our builder to see what we can do. We find out this weekend how much house we can get for our $$$, the neighborhood is out west of mom and dad close to Olathe Lake! We're pretty excited, much bigger house with nice amenities!!!

THINGS I LOVE AND NEVER WANT TO FORGET...

1. I love when I pick Nicolas up when he's tired and he scrunches his legs up to his chest
2. I love that he grabs my shirt while I'm feeding him, and I sometimes have to put it in reach of his grasp because he scratches me trying to find it.
3. I (we) love how no matter when we go get Nicolas out of his crib, when you talk to him, he has the biggest grin on his face because he's so happy to see us!
4. I love the way he finds Tim in the room no matter where he is.
5. I love watching our parents interact with him and how excited he is to see them!
6. I love watching Tim with Nicolas, no matter what mood I'm in.
7. I LOVE that my brother is moving home and Nicolas gets to meet his Uncle for the first time ever (Aunt Kenzi, too)!!!

I know there is a ton more I am forgetting, but I'll jot them down when I can. Hopefully it won't be too long before I post again!!! I will post pictures soon, I'm at school and can't get to them right now.
