The Squires: We're going strong!

We are finally set in a routine!!! Nicolas gets up at 6:00 (give or take 1/2 hour) and eats his breakfast. We then play for an hour or so (he LOVES his play mat with the flashing star) then he goes down for his first nap. He is eating every 3-3.5 hours with play and nap each time and has his last feeding at 9:30 every night. I do have to get up to put in the pacifier a couple of times a night, but other than that he's making it through the night, some better than others:)

We had our first Christmas gathering on Saturday (the 6th) at my cousins' house in Kansas City. I thought my dad's side of the family was big...but when almost everyone is there on my mom's side (Hendricks) it's quite a gathering, I think there was about 40 of us! It was nice to see everyone and Nicolas will have a lot of playmates next year (I believe there was 10 kids under the age of 11 + 1 on the way). Nicolas got off of his schedule that day...we now realize how important a schedule is!!!

Sunday (the 7th) Nicolas was baptized (thank you to all that joined us:). It was a very nice service. Grant is Nicolas' godfather but could not join us...so my parents and Tim's parents stood in his place. We wished he could have been there, but understand that they are not a drive away! We love you!!!

Other than that we are getting daycare lined up for Nicolas and I'm starting to think about going back to work (thinking, not quite ready). I am sad and excited to go back. Nicolas and I are going to visit my kids at school next week, so that will be fun and will maybe help to get myself in the mind-set, we'll see!
